First clean the cat´s nails
with alcohol and trim them carefully,
cutting just the tip of each one. It is not necessary to cover the
nails of the back paws. Then fill nail caps 1/3 full with adhesive
using an applicator, extend nails by gently pressing the paw between
your fingers and place one cap on every nail.
Usually cats don´t mind this procedure and it will be very
easy to finish the task. Finally observe your cat for 5 minutes until adhesive
dries completely.
Once the nail protectors are on, they stay in place for
4 to 6 weeks. Even if your cat swallowed one
accidentally, the material is non-toxic and non-absorbable, so it would
just pass on through the digestive system. The nail caps come off with
the normal growth and shedding of the nails.
